Deathwish 96

The Low Tide Hero | Driven by Triple Camber

Meet the Deathwish 96 — a leaner, meaner take on the Deathwish lineage. Built for precision and power on firmer snow, it’s snappy, grippy, and dead steady when the terrain tightens up. With a stout European beech core, dialed composite layup, and a dual radius sidecut, the Deathwish 96 packs a serious punch in a sleeker silhouette — all bite and no bulk, with Triple Camber giving it the edge to grip, slash, and charge with confidence when the snow is less than ideal. Confidence is king, and the Deathwish 96 wears the crown.

    • This is a general guideline and is only a basic suggestion of the proper size. Where you ski, how you ski, and what skis you've ridden in the past should be taken into consideration.
    • The Deathwish incorporates deep rocker lines and a progressive mount point. This means it skis shorter than many other skis, don't be afraid to size up.
    • If you are still on the fence and ski confidently and aggressively size up. If you ski more conservatively or timidly size down.
    • Beginner assumes a basic understanding of and ability to ski. For those who have never skied or cannot ski down runs without falling we recommend renting/demoing to start.
If you are unsure, have questions, or feel your recommended size is incorrect, please chat, call or email us. We are happy to discuss specific sizing based on your build, skiing style, and existing quiver / past skis.

Triple Camber Twin Rocker

ingredients

Full length, knot free, vertically laminated in house. Strong, damp and burly, European beech provides the pinnacle of composure and calmness at the highest speeds in the most challenging conditions.

Extruded sidewalls constructed of modified Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) provide stiffness, damping, and durability, which allow for more impact resistance and easier repairs that stay put so you can bring the abuse year after year, season after season.

A custom blend of triaxial fiberglass and carbon fiber that provides torsional rigidity along with longitudinal pop and composure at speed.

We use a textured nylon topsheet material enhanced with sublimated graphics‒a non-toxic and eco-friendly alternative to silkscreen. We chose this topsheet material to ensure optimal durability and impact resistance while maintaining crisp and bright graphics.

Skis are tools not treasures and that means they need to take a beating which is why we use recycled, carbon infused sintered UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight PolyEthylene). Harder, faster and with better wax absorption and retention than extruded bases this is the industry leader for performance and longevity.

Rubberized VDS foil is placed at strategic locations throughout the construction to increase bond strength and provide vibration damping for more stability and increased control.

There are only a handful of edge manufacturers in the world. We go straight to the source for the best of the best. We use only 2.2mm Rockwell 48 hardened steel edges. Heat treated additionally in house to ensure you get nothing but the absolute most out of your skis.

LOVE these skis! They glide and grip and pivot so well! I tried them all and these skiis come in longer lengths so I got the 190’s. I love to cruise fast so I appreciate how they keep me on the ground with so much control! I would definitely recommend for this all terrain ski for anyone who likes to have control going down the mountain🥰

Great ski, fun, fast, excellent edge hold. Its my favorite ski out of everything ive ever been on.

Exactly what I was looking for. I’ve tried a few skis looking for something that would let me ski my way (playful charger) on firm snow. This is it! The triple camber pockets are really cool, and super intuitive. I feel like it gives me an extra level of control when the ice sneaks up.

So yeah, these things rip. Confidence inspiring, easy to flick around, super intuitive. I’ve got 5 pairs of skis and these will be the east coast daily it’s not even close tbh. In anything less than 6 inches of fresh I’ll be reaching for the death wish.

I had my hesitations about triple camber, but pulled the trigger on the DW when Moment dropped the 96 edition this summer. I’ve been begging them to make a few narrower versions of their skis for East Coast application, and since they obliged, I figured I had to do my part and buy a pair - and this was the best decision I’ve made in a while. Holy cow! These are the most intuitive skis I have ever ridden. Don’t think - just ski, and the DW96 will take you everywhere and anywhere. These things must be forged with dark magic because no ski should be so nimble and maneuverable while also being so steady and smooth. I was going from laying high speed trenches to popping off side hits to weaving through early season crowds - you can really dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge on these babies with ease. If there is a Swiss Army knife of skis, this must be it. In a world of trade-offs and compromise, with the DW96, you can have it all. Why settle for less?

I absolutely love the Deathwish 96. What all the reviews say is absolutely true 0 its fun, confidence-inspiring, easy to move around, but still able to rail when I need it to.

More than anything, though, I want to use this review to say something about Moment as a company.

I've owned several Moments over the years, and have loved all of them. They make some of the best and most fun skis I've ever been on. However, even more impressive has been the customer service. I want to give a huge shoutout to Josie Peck. She is always patient, responsive, and goes above and beyond to get any issues sorted or answer any of my ridiculous questions. Every interaction I've had with Josie and other members of the Moment team has been the same - they all care about you as a customer and are incredibly responsive.

That's what I really want people considering any skis from Moment to know. You're not just buying exceptionally well-made, ridiculously fun skis. You're buying from a company full of people who genuinely care about the product and about the people skiing it.

That combination is rare, and it's why I'll remain a loyal Moment customer.

Fantastic skis. Fantastic company. Even better people.

Best skis i own!

I picked the Deathwish-96 skis because they are great on the hard crust that we are usually skiing on Mt.Rose. I skied them today on spring snow and they were great on that too. I look forward to trying them in the trees next season.

I mounted them with a Bishop BMF3 tele binding. These things rip! I like them so much, the plan is to buy another pair and mount them with a Marker Griffon binding to rip alpine turns!

THE SHIT

So fun! Great in the moguls, trees and on icey slopes. Hard combo to find!

This ski is stiff in all the right places. The bases are thick and hard just the way I like it. Ski is like having two katanas on your feet. Loves being launched off rocks and going stupid fast. Will not cut tight turns, must use your legs to make them do what you need. Very predictable and confidence inspiring. Makes me want to buy more moment skis

Amazing Skiis!

Hello from Mt Bachelor

Piling on the positive reviews. The PNW season has been extended early season conditions and these skis have made all conditions fun every day. Love my DW 96 184s! If short to medum turns, all mountain, low tide to 3-5 of fresh is your jam these skis will put a grin on your face. Wondering when conditions will make me grab the DW 112s. Life is good with a Moment quiver.

Absolutely love these skis. The Moment Deathwish 96 have been nothing short of outstanding for me this season.

They absolutely rip on firm snow and hardpack—the edge hold is unreal and gives me so much confidence when conditions are fast or icy. At the same time, they’re playful enough to slash turns when I want to loosen things up, yet totally capable of charging in powder with confidence.

I’ve ridden them in pretty much every condition this season while patrolling, and they just flat-out deliver every time. They feel intuitive, stable, and fun, no matter what the comditions. Easily one of the most versatile skis I’ve been on—these do it all, and they do it exceptionally well. 👏🎿

I have always wanted a pair of skis from Moment and these things are sick. Totally shredded some icy east coast groomers today can't wait to put them through their paces more. Thank you Moment Team!

I’ve had the 104 and 112 Tour in 184cm. Went with 179cm for the 96 and it’s crazy fun. Maybe bigger people that are shittier skiers can find the speed limit on these, but I’ve had them over 70 mph and they still want to go. Rail on ice and crush chop too.. I wouldn’t choose any other ski in 6” or less.

5’9” 160 w/dins on 11 for reference

So far loving them, I ski out east so a lot of "packed powder" which means ice. They grip awesome, are fun and playful. They turn super fast, haven't noticed any difference between these and skinnier skis with much tighter advertised radius. Moment support team is awesome!

Benjamin Callard

Epic skis from an epic company! Want a ski with soul that out performs big brand skis? Buy Moment! The 96s charge all conditions but thrive where wider powder skis fail. Don't kid yourself just add them to your quiver and enjoy.

The only thing I can say. I think I’m in love!

Awesome ski - mostly using on resort for groomers but can also handle some off piste not so deep pow. Can’t go wrong with a Moment ski! 🤘🤘

So far so good folks. I'm not in good enough shape yet to really push hard on a groomer, but I'm feeling the potential!! I'm confident they won't disappoint.

These things RIP while also being extremely playful! They carve extremely well for a ski with no metal. Had multiple runs with a gps speed over 50 mph and they did not get nervous at all! When it is to firm for the Wildcat 108 this will be the ski I grab!
