Wildcat 118

The One That Started It All | The Original Playful Charger

By morning light, the Wildcat 118 is your sly house cat — silent, graceful, effortlessly weaving through fresh powder like it’s just another shadow. But don’t mistake that quiet for weakness. When the afternoon grind kicks in and that beautiful blower pow has transformed into a wreckage of chop and crud, the beast awakens and the Wildcat 118 takes on a second persona — the king: bold, brutal, and hungry for the shattered, chopped-up mess others fear to face. A big, 118mm waist and a progressive mount keep it surfy and slashy under your feet, while deep rocker lines and a beefy core show the sheer size of its claws, ready to tear through whatever may lay in your path. Adoptions are now open, is the rest of your quiver ready?

    • This is a general guideline and is only a basic suggestion of the proper size. Where you ski, how you ski, and what skis you've ridden in the past should be taken into consideration.
    • The Wildcat incorporates deep rocker lines and a progressive mount point. This means it skis shorter than many other skis, don't be afraid to size up.
    • If you are still on the fence and ski confidently and aggressively size up. If you ski more conservatively or timidly size down.
    • Beginner assumes a basic understanding of and ability to ski. For those who have never skied or cannot ski down runs without falling we recommend renting/demoing to start.
If you are unsure, have questions, or feel your recommended size is incorrect, please chat, call or email us. We are happy to discuss specific sizing based on your build, skiing style, and existing quiver / past skis.

Full length, knot free, vertically laminated in house. Our poplar / ash core provides a unique blend of liveliness and outstanding damping, allowing for playful platforms that charge hard.

Extruded sidewalls constructed of modified Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) provide stiffness, damping, and durability, which allow for more impact resistance and easier repairs that stay put so you can bring the abuse year after year, season after season.

A custom blend of triaxial fiberglass and carbon fiber that provides torsional rigidity along with longitudinal pop and composure at speed.

We use a textured nylon topsheet material enhanced with sublimated graphics‒a non-toxic and eco-friendly alternative to silkscreen. We chose this topsheet material to ensure optimal durability and impact resistance while maintaining crisp and bright graphics.

Skis are tools not treasures and that means they need to take a beating which is why we use carbon infused sintered UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight PolyEthylene). Harder, faster and with better wax absorption and retention than extruded bases this is the industry leader for performance and longevity.

Rubberized VDS foil is placed at strategic locations throughout the construction to increase bond strength and provide vibration damping for more stability and increased control.

There are only a handful of edge manufacturers in the world. We go straight to the source for the best of the best. We use only 2.2mm Rockwell 48 hardened steel edges. Heat treated additionally in house to ensure you get nothing but the absolute most out of your skis.

Fantastic ski. It slices through all kinds of snow with a consistent, confidence-inspiring feel. At slower speeds or on mellow runs it can feel a bit muted, but once the terrain gets steeper and you start pushing it, it really comes alive.

Bomber Powder Ski

I was super stoked when Moment came out with the 164 length for those of us vertically challenged. It's quite hard to find a fat ski for us shorter people that want to surf some pow. The Wildcat did not disappoint. Absolutely confidence inspiring ski that can charge untouched steep pow, cut through crud with ease, and surf some hippie pow with a smile on your face. Getting air with these skis you know you will have a stable platform at the bottom that will carry you on to the next turn with ease. And when it gets bumped out in the afternoon, these skis are surprisingly fun in tight turns too. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a stable and fun powder ski, something which you often can't find in the same ski.

Even better than I had hoped

These skis are made of magic - I don't understand how they feel heavy when I am walking around with them on my shoulder but once they hit show they are feather light. Silliness aside, these skis are terrific in just about anything over a few inches of fresh snow. For context, mine are 190cm and 118mm waist width and I am an aggressive hard charging skier at 5'11" and 205lbs. I had the pleasure of skiing these in the latest storm to hit the Tahoe region where around 2 feet of fresh snow had fallen and the temps were low all day. The Wildcats performed as would be expected of a powder ski in the knee deep or deeper untouched pow; the float was predicable, immediate and plentiful. I was skiing on top of pow all day. What was so surprising was how strong the skis were in the chopped up bumps towards the end of the day. Turning them was super easy and the tails will release with ease so long as you properly unweight through the turn. I was a little concerned that by the end of the day I would be getting worked because of just how much ski they are but they really do ski like a shorter ski. Breaking the tails loose in compacted pow is super easy so don't be afraid to go a size longer. Especially if you are a bigger skier. If i am not careful these will become my daily drivers so long as there is fresh snow to be had. 10 of 10, would definitely recommend.

Versatile

Crazy good floatation. Surfy and loose, except when you don't want them to be. Easy rotation, forgiving, and.... somehow, great in trees.Amazing on powder, and good enough on groomers to make you not regret bringing them out on a variable day.As good as these are in fresh powder (so good), where they really shine is on chunder and chop, where they have the backbone to punch through and stay up/floating where other skis get pushed around. These skis both play harder than I do, and charge harder than I do.5'10, 175lbs, 184cm: the twin tips and heavy rocker means this ski rides shorter than its length. Don't be afraid to go long.

Love em

Dedicated pow ski for me. Bought them about 2 inches overhead height. They float like crazy and make it incredibly easy to do those bouncy pow turns. They also hold up on other terrain really well. Easy to lay down carves on the groomers, navigate icy moguls, and switch skiing is no problem either. If you’re looking for a dedicated pow ski that needs to hold up all over the mountain, don’t hesitate.

Most Versatile Powder Ski

This ski has the perfect blend of being stiff and chargy while also being playful and poppy. If you are looking for a powder ski that can do everything, this is the ski for you. I can't believe how quick this ski can turn for being 118 under foot. Highly recommend!!

Wildcats for the win!

Background - been skiing Bibby ~190s for the last 10+ year as my powder boards (red and black devil graphics). Love them most of the time! The times I don't love them is when I probably should have been skiing something less powdery and more all mountainey... so user selection error on my partPurchased the wildcats this season 2024/2025 and was pretty excited that they came out with a limited production 196 length. I am a clydesdale sized skier - 6'4" - 260lbs so would be 195-200cm lengthed skis if they were manufactured. The ski was nothing short of amazing. They surfed the pow! Shredded the chowdah and even rolled right up on edge like my nordica enforcer 100s on the fresh cord. I am really excited to take these to BC later this season for some pillows and pow. Amazing work Moment! Definitely bibby 4.0s -Luca

Amazing

They are even prettier in person and they are perfect for me. Absolutely amazing. Haven’t hit the mountain yet without a compliment 🙂

Absolutely stellar

Stiff enough to charge with enough flex to carve. Have yet to get a powder day with these under my feet. But so far have ripped some groomers and hopped through some trees. Even got a few laps in the terrain park. Can’t wait to get them in their element when the side missions have been this fun

196 Wildcat

This is my second season on the 196 WC (upgraded from the 190 WC). 6'4, 195lbs, expert skier in Colorado. I ended up re-mounting -1cm back and this completely changed the ski to where you can drive the shovels and gain a bit more directional feel. I cannot praise this ski enough. It handles every condition (maybe not ice)....GS turns at 50mph+ no problem. Very good carver, damp, stable, and maneuverable. I really cannot recommend this size enough. It's probably the best ski I've had and I've skied quite a bit over the years. Strong accolades to Moment and gratitude for making the 196 length ski. Yes - even at 118 underfoot, it's an absolute delight on piste that rages. Packed powder, powder, chop, spring conditions - it's hard to find conditions where it doesn't shine (when it's worth skiing). Not sure how this would play out east but that's why you move west.

Moment Wildcat 116

Absolutely amazing skis, super fun in all conditions. They do really well in chunder and hard conditions because of how easily they can blow through rough patches. Also super damp so they don't chatter whatsoever in questionable conditions.

Wildcat

Awesome ski, crushes powder and chop like it's nothing. Carves better than anything in its class. Awesome recommendations on model and length from the customer service team. Would recommend to anyone in search of a powder ski that still crush it when the fresh turns run out.

1st pow day

Unfortunately, the start of this year has not had the snow we all have been looking for in the San Juans. I did take these baby’s out with the last storm and they were exactly what I expected. A pleasure. This is my 3rd pair of wildcats. I have one wildcat 108 tour and the normal 108. I look forward to more powder days where I can use these.

Greatest POW ski of all time

If the Deathwish )is the overachieving golden child of Moment Skis (which I truly love), then the Wildcat 116 (aka the Big Kitty) is the feral beast that comes home at 3 a.m. covered in pow, looking smug, and somehow still manages to steal your heart. And let me tell you—this is my all-time favorite pow ski. Hands down. Game over. Other skis? Who?First off, the Big Kitty does exactly what you’d hope from something with a name like that: it pounces on powder, claws through crud, and lands buttery-smooth every single time. I mean, this ski absolutely floats. You’ll feel like you’re riding on a cloud, except the cloud is made of adrenaline and sprinkled with just the right amount of chaos.Durability? Oh, these things are tough. I’ve slammed them into rocks, logs, and—let’s be honest—probably a few poorly chosen lunch breaks. They just shrug it off like, “Is that all you’ve got?” I’m convinced you could accidentally send these skis into the apocalypse, and they’d still come back looking for more. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Moment forged them in some mystical Nevada foundry powered by dreams and stoke. And can we talk about customer service? Moment is chef’s kiss incredible. I’m talking about real humans who actually care. They’ll help you pick the perfect ski, answer your endless questions, and probably throw in a sticker or two just for fun. It’s like buying skis from your best friends—if your best friends were also ski-wizards.Bottom line: The Big Kitty is the ultimate pow ski. It’s playful, it’s burly, and it’s an absolute blast. Whether you’re slashing waist-deep fluff or charging hard through choppy leftovers, these skis just make you feel like a hero. If you don’t have a pair, do yourself a favor and fix that immediately.Long live the Big Kitty. Meow.

Wildcat 116

Great fast service on delivery of the Wildcat with Voyager XV Evo bindings and poles. Will have to wait for next season and pow day to try the new skis out. Added to my quiver of Moment skis (Deathwish and Deathwish tour).

Definetly a Wildcat Guy

I was looking for something for deep pow days and having owned several pairs of the Wildcat 108's and the 108 Tour. I decided to go with the Wildcats. It isn't that the 108's aren't good pow skis. They are actually great in pow! But the way I saw it, is that the 116 Wildcats would provide more float. That broke down to some real simple math for me... More float = less work = more laps = more fun. I ordered these late in the season, so I thought I would be stuck waiting till next year to get them out. But a wet April dumping of between 10" and 14" gave me the excuse I needed to get these babies out. These gave me just the right amount of float and while a little less snappy for turning as the 108's (expected), they had that same poppy feel. I can't wait to get these out in the light fluffy stuff next season!

Best of the Best

Pick up was smooth and easy. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Skis are amazing. I demo'd the BlackOps 118 from BlueZone at the same time. I was able to ski them back to back. There is no comparison in quality. The Wildcats are stable. They cut thru end of the day crud and help you fly thru mush. Even tho they are wide powder skis they have the ability to carve and turn like an all mountain ski. Very responsive. After my demo day, I bought my own pair!
