- The Wildcat incorporates deep rocker lines and a progressive mount point. This means it skis shorter than many other skis, don't be afraid to size up.
- If you are still on the fence and ski confidently and aggressively size up. If you ski more conservatively or timidly size down.

I picked these up recently because I'm addicted to Moment skis. I wanted something that was as fun but a little chargier than my DW96 and I sized-up per the Moment size guide. I got them mounted in a day and threw in the bag for a trip to Alta/Bird. They were awesome in a few inches of fresh on 3/14 and again on near boilerplate refreeze 3/15 (fresh edges helped here). Ripped them again for a week of unfortunate spring season slop at Big Sky, switched to my DW96 for one day, and then switched right back. These just felt so right underfoot in every condition: groomers, steep stuff, moguls, and even the park. Personally, I really like the weight (not too light or too heavy), the flex pattern (stiffer than my other twin tips), and rocker (lots of it which made it ski a lot shorter in moguls). If you want a well-rocker'd twin that is confidence-inspiring in steeps and technical terrain, this is for you. It comes alive at higher speeds and the flex gives it good rebound out of a turn too. It's not a park noodle or low speed cruiser if that's what you're after.

Great skis. My third pair of moments. I am 55 and I rip these everywhere on the mountain. I really like the twin tips for their easy pivot in technical terrain and even ski these on moguls. I use my Wildcat 116 on powder days and these on dryer conditions. Both make me feel like a super hero on skis. I’ve taken my moments to Japan Colorado Canada and Tahoe. They have done great everywhere. They are powerful chargers that pivot quick in technical terrain and tight trees. Just can’t say enough good things about these skis.

Wildcat 101s are tons of fun in nearly every snow/terrain condition. Easy to carve on firm groomers, quick and playful in the trees, predictable and secure in the steeps. Very fun in a foot of powder. I have been in the moment store/factory many times and have never left with anything but good feelings about this place.

So I will start this by admitting that I have have the Wildcats in 101, 108, & 116 Waist widths. I also have the Tour version. This is what I have come up with… If you can only own 1 set of skis, go with the 108’s. They are hands down, the best option out there for a 1 ski quiver. The 116’s/118’s, to me are a 10” + day ski. less snow then that they will fee chunky. (take that comment, while remembering that I also have the 108’s and 101’s). That being said, on those deeper 10”+ days, the FatCats come alive. I believe the reason comes down to basic math. The extra width = more float = less energy spent by you = more laps = more stoke! And who doesn’t like more stoke. Now for the 101’s... Honestly, I think they ski very similar to the 108’s in most conditions. While they do tend to be a bit more maneuverable in moguls and tree runs, I have a hard time noticing much difference on groomers. This is not a dis to the 101’s, but rather a testament to the 108’s. But let’s talk spring-ish conditions. You know… You know, where you spend the morning sticking to the groomers, because while the off piste stuff looks inviting, when you venture out for a test run, it wants to rattle your teeth out of your head. Suckas! (Been there, done that). But then at about 10:30-11:00 the sun gets in the right spot, the snow warms up and everything softens. That teeth rattling chunder, becomes turns into 2”-5” of warm cream. It’s time to send the wife and kids to lunch, and go get sum. It’s out there, screaming at you to slay it, and the 101’s are the perfect tool. Better hurry, sometimes that time window is small. Ya-all know what I’m talking about.

First, I appreciate that Moment sticks with their tried and true designs. I bought these to replace my aging PB&Js (the predecessor to the Wildcat 101) which were going on ten years old.Another company would have turned these into a completely different ski through their yearly release cycle. That would have bummed me out because my PB&Js were the skis I rode probably eight of ten ski days, and I did buy other skis during the ten years I had my PB&Js. Nothing quite worked as an all-around ski than the PB&Js, though.So, when the repair tech told me I couldn’t ride my PB&Js anymore, I was happy to see that the Moment Wildcat 101 was basically the same ski.The Wildcat 101 might be a slightly more damp than the old PB&J, because the core is a different wood. The Wildcat also feels a bit cleaner at high speeds in crud and chunder, where the PB&J could get a tad rattled.For those who DON’T own an old pair of PB&Js, the Wildcat 101 is one of the best all-mountain, all-conditions skis ever made. It skis easily and intuitively, feels snappy but has enough backbone that it doesn’t get knocked around in rough snow. The edges never hook up when you don’t expect it. It’s wide and rockered enough for about 12 to 16 inches of snow, depending on how heavy you are and how you ski.It’s probably a bit too heavy and stiff to be a good dedicated park ski, but it does perform admirably well in the park for an all-mountain type ski. It’s also probably not ideal as a groomer ski, especially if you’ve been a ski racer. Obviously, you can lay down tracks with the Wildcats, but Moment has better skis for you, if you’re that type of skier. Lastly, if you like really stiff, more traditionally designed skis — if you’re a big fan of Blizzard skis, for example — Moment also has other skis that you will probably like better.However, for everyone else, if you want a ski that you can take to the mountain on almost any day, in any mood, it’s tough to find a better ski than the Wildcat 101.

This is my first pair of Moments and after all the deep thought that went into my purchase, I'm confident in my decision. I live in the midwest and usually get out west a few times a year. The narrower 101 width is very nice for when I hit some Michigan warmups, but I was blown away on my recent trip to Utah. On top of handling anything I threw at them (6" pow, trees, bumps, hardpack), I genuinely think they made me a better skier. When I wanted fun, they were fun... when I wanted to lock in, they ripped. I like to play in the trees and had a little concern with the 184 length but these things turn on a dime. They completely outperformed my Volkl 177's which will no doubt be plotting their revenge against the Wildcats as they collect dust in my gear locker. Pro tip: Metallica makes them go faster.The reviews are all right, just buy them.

Light, nimble, and snappy. This is the perfect ski for a lighter powder day and quick turns around the trees and glades.

I have skied these 6 days on the East Coast (Stratton, Stowe, Mt Snow). As an instructor, having these on my feet for 8hrs at a time has left me with only a shit-eating grin. I have had the most fun on these skis throughout the various stages and types of lessons from steeps to glades to moguls to basic carving to slashing and buttering. Key terms as my takeaways: playful but able to carve, release on command but hold an edge when driven, nimble in glades, forgiving on bumps, stable at speed through end of the day crud. Not once have I wanted a more narrow ski even if most of my time is spent doing basic drills and instruction with students. For all but 5+ in of fresh snow on the East Coast, I am not sure I will reach for another ski this season.

When I was looking for a new pair of skis I wanted something that could do it all in the Pacific Northwest. After spending four days on this ski I can confidently say it has far exceeded my expectations for an all-mountain ski. It can carve on fresh groomers and handle icy runouts easily. Then I took this ski in the bumps, trees, chopped powder, and knee-deep powder and this is where the Wildcat 101 came alive for me. I have never felt so confident on a ski in all conditions as I do on this ski. If you are in the market for an all-mountain ski in the 100mm range that is playful and confidence-inspiring, then look no further as you will not be disappointed with the Wildcat 101. Also, the graphics are amazing and I get compliments all day long!

Low tide, a fresh six inches, crud, chop? The 101 lets you rip the groomers, hit the park, and shred off piste. I was hesitant about this mid width ski, but damn these things rip. They can do anything you ask of them.

I demo’d the Wildcat 101s and spoiler, I ended up buying a pair. As an intermediate skier I took them all over the mountain. While I’ll probably use them as my daily drivers, they really excel in powder where you float through the snow.

I am an Adaptive Monoskier, and decided on the Wildcat after my husband proxy-tested several skis for me at Blister Summit 2024. I was looking for a stiffer ski (I broke two in less than a month with my shenanigans), that could be a great all mountain charger. So far I've been out with it 5 times, and while I am still learning to speak it's language fluently, I'm quite impressed with the Wildcat 101. It's held strong in hardpack groomers, gets speed easily when I want it, and has been able to take tight turns through bumps. So far my favorite has been taking it through crusty crud, funnily enough! I'm so impressed with how stable it is while also being playful. It just slices through everything.Definitely glad I added this to my quiver.

When Einstein said E=MC2 he was referring to the power of the moment Wildcat 101. From switch tail bud 5s to charging a icy shaded groomer the moment Wildcat moves at the speed of light. A balanced mass displacement along the length of the ski removes any and all worries of chatter, ski splay, and forms a fiery furious force of energy, completing Einsteins theory of Mass-Energy Equivalence. After retiring my Moment Frankenskis I spent my hours deep in thought in the caves of Ted Turners ranch. Thinking and thinking and thinking. Deathwish. Wildcat. Meridian. Frank. Deathwish. Wildcat. Meridian. Frank. A few scary ides of getting Rustler 11s sneaked into my head but thankfully, through hours of prayer, I was able to subbed those thoughts. Ride moment. Listen to slayer. Wildcat 101's are my daily drivers. I work at Northstar and using these every day has been super fun, I used to ride Rossignol, but once I went to Wildcats, I haven't looked back. These are some good ass skis!!
